A Day escape to nature and wildlife of Can Gio
8.30Am pick up at your hotel and depart to Can Gio, (50km away on 1,5 hours drive) highly regarded as one of the most beautiful forest in the Southeast Asia and is recognized by UNESCO as the World Biosphere Reserve.
Start our visit on taking boat trip to discover the characteristic and natural landscape of the mangrove forest before boarding a smaller wooden boat to reach the bat lagoon where a colony of large flying fox bats sleeping the day away.
Back to the main boat and head straight to the heart of the forest for a soft trek and the visit the bird sanctuary during the nesting season (from April to Oct annually) and stop by the watchtower to observe thousands of birds including storks, herons and cranes flying around, making their nets.
Enjoy a lunch at local restaurant. Then have a short walk to a natural crocodile lake and the Monkey island, with specially more than 700 wild monkey, which are very playful and contact with human.
17.00 Head back to Ho Chi Minh city. End the tour at your hotel.
